This term, one of CUADC’s Actors’ Reps, Jess, has organised a series of workshops, designed to share skills between students.
The second is a Noh workshop, given by Tom Stell.
1 hour of the workshop will be spent on chant: getting familiar with the vocal style and looking at a few pieces from the repertoire to get an idea of the various rhythmic and melodic patterns. The other hour will be spent on dance: the basic posture and way of walking, then some simple dance forms.
Mentor info: Tom learned these skills from studying ‘Noh’ for five years with performers who have visited this country regularly as part of the Noh Training Project UK initiative.
The workshops have a limited capacity, spaces will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
